Check out the planting tips below! ⬇️ ✅Choose a location with full sun to part shade and well-draining fertile soil. ✅Dig a hole 2X the width of the pot. ✅If you need to add organic matter work in 1-2 inches of compost into the soil. ✅Know your soil pH. Blueberries thrive best in soil with a pH between 4.5 to 5.5. Based on your soil test, if you need to lower the pH , mix in 1 1/4 cups soil acidifier into the soil for young shrubs. We use elemental sulfur which is a safer choice than aluminum sulfate. ✅Make sure the soil in the pot is moist before planting your blueberry plant. ✅Set plant with roots no more than 1/2 inch above ground soil level. Backfill and press soil around the plant. Space plants 3-6 feet apart and rows 7 feet apart. They can be grown as close as 2-2.5 feet as a hedgerow depending on variety. ✅Water thoroughly and apply organic mulch such as wood chips to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
